Calgary Herald Archives
Online access to the entire archive of the Calgary Herald, the largest and oldest daily newspaper in Alberta, from 1883-2010. Access available anywhere in Alberta.

Early Canadiana Online
Includes scanned documents from the time of the settlers to the early 20th century. Contains books, articles, speeches and government publications.

FamilySearch
Grande Prairie Public Library is a FamilySearch Affiliate Library. This gives patrons access to about 400 million records, including images and name indexes not available outside of a family history center or Affiliate Library. A free FamilySearch account is required and patrons must access FamilySearch while on-site at the library to access these records.

Grande Prairie Genealogical Society
The local branch of the Alberta Genealogical Society offers a free service for individuals who require help with a family research project. You may book an appointment by email at: abromling@gmail.com. Appointments are usually scheduled for Wednesdays from 7:00 – 8:45pm.

South Peace Regional Archives
South Peace Regional Archives gathers, preserves, and shares historical records of municipalities, organizations, businesses, families and individuals within the region. The Archives offers access to its holdings through their website and through a public Reading Room. SPRA is located in the Grande Prairie Museum, in Muskoseepi Park.
