Family Literacy Week is an annual, week-long event to raise awareness of the importance of reading and engaging with literacy as a family. It leads up to Family Literacy Day on January 27. This year we're hosting a story-themed tea party, mermaid tales, and a party at the Prairie Mall.
Mermaid Tales

PAWS for a Story
Meet the perfect reading buddy! Reading to dogs increases confidence in reading, decreases stress, and involves dog cuddles! Sign-up to read to a friendly dog from Partners Naturally Academy Program.
Audience: children (recommended ages 4+) and caregivers

Family Literacy Day Party
Story times, crafts, book giveaways, and more! Let’s have a family literacy day party at the Prairie Mall.

Once Upon a Tea
Register for a story-themed tea party in celebration of Family Literacy Day on Saturday January 27th. All ages welcome. Dress up as your favourite character for this whimsical tea.
Audience: all ages (children must be accompanied by an adult, preteens and teens do not require an adult)
